Johnny Vs. Mega Man 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, & Bass

Well, there are no two ways about it: We’ve fallen a bit behind since Johnny took on Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, and Mega Man: The Wily Wars. As it so happens, he just finished up his month-long Mega Man marathon with the one-two punch of Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10, so here’s everything he’s done since the last time we posted, in case you weren’t keeping up.

Nintendo Drops Numerous Mega Man Games into Various eShops Across the Globe

On top of all the news about Nintendo and Capcom bringing Mega Man to Super Smash Bros. today, it’s hard to believe they weren’t finished yet, but… they weren’t finished yet. In North America, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, and Mega Man 4 have arrived for the Virtual Console in the Wii U eShop. […]

Mega Man 4 Soundtrack Now Available on the Capcom Store

Oh, right then. Literally the day after we told you that the Mega Man 3 soundtrack was available on the Capcom Store, they managed to sneak in and put the Mega Man 4 soundtrack up, too. Between this, the last entry in “A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages,” and the release of the […]

A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages: Afterword

Mega Man 4 is not a bad game, despite how often I may seem to be calling it such. The main stages flow nicely, the end game stages keep their quality up much longer than previous games, and there were a lot of great new stage mechanics thrown in. We got a full water stage, […]

Mega Man 4 Hits North American & European Nintendo 3DS eShops Tomorrow

Well, as we begin wrapping up “A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages,” what better time for the game to hit the Nintendo 3DS eShop in North America and Europe than tomorrow? Well, maybe when we began Mega Man 4, granted; at least Mega Man 5 will be available shortly after we begin covering […]

A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages: Dr. Wily Stage 2

Wily 2 The first two screens here seem to be missing something. There are four paths to take, with the second one down leading out and the rest leading to death or nothing. I’d have expected an item to snag at the end of one of the lower ones, or an enemy shooting at us […]

A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages: Dr. Cossack Stage 4

Cossack Stage 4 The path to Cossack starts off with some refills, an E-Tank, and a nice view of the night sky. Pakatto and Jumbig are easily dealt with by now, and we’ve already met both in worse situations. LanceHeartlocalhost/tmmn

A Critical Look at Mega Man 4 Stages: Dr. Cossack Stage 3

Cossack Stage 3 and Music This stage… is an autoscroller. I’m going to be honest here; no matter what I say about the design, I’m always going to hate this stage because I can’t stand this mechanic in platformers. It does raise tension for newcomers by adding a time limit, but for experienced players or […]
