“Mega Man Universe” Registered Abroad

A few days ago, GoNintendo posted a story featuring the registration of several trademarks by Capcom and Nintendo in Europe, and among those listed was Mega Man Universe. Good news for our friends in Europe… or, at least, one might hope, as we still have no clue what this mysterious entity is.
But perhaps more interesting still is that, according to Nintendo Everything (via Protodude’s Rockman Corner), the very same trademark was registered in Japan as well.

As Protodude points out, this is peculiar given the fact that in Japan, it should be Rockman Universe registered, if anything. This could prove interesting… that is, unless it’s a case of someone, somewhere automatically swapping out “Mega Man” in the place of “Rockman,” similar to what we saw when Rockman Online was first announced.
