Mega Man Zero/ZX: The Vinyl Collection Now Available for Pre-Order

Ah, this feels kinda weird.

As some of you might recall, or have simply noticed from visiting the site, I’ve more or less retired from doing Mega Man news here on The Mega Man Network. Well, with the exception of TMMN Archive, which has had a surprising number of new press releases made available to add since starting it (I’ve barely have time to add any of the older ones I have stockpiled!). Just easier to add them now as they come than try to do so later, you know?

But, like I said: More or less retired. Only now I guess it’s a little “less,” as I found myself in an interesting situation.

See, the folks over at Laced Records reached out to me recently with an email regarding the announcement of pre-orders opening for their upcoming release of Mega Man Zero/ZX: The Collection. “Great!” I said. “Love to do it! Is it okay if I repost this press release verbatim?” That being the TMMN Archive M.O. and all.

To which I found out that it wasn’t a press release, per se, with the recommendation that I edit it and format it to make it suitable for you fine lot.

And I just had a Principal Skinner moment that you just don’t see memed as much as it probably should be.

And just because I know you daffy ducks are thinking it…

Hopefully if you’ve heard about this stuff already, this made it worth the visit. But I digress…

Coming in February 2026 from Laced Records is Mega Man Zero/ZX: The Collection, which consists of five vinyl records containing “84 specially remastered tracks” by Ippo Yamada, Luna Umegaki, Masaki Suzuki, Tsutomu Kurihara, Chicken Mob, Shinichi Itakura, Ryo Kawakami, and Koji Hayama & Setsuo Yamamoto from the four Mega Man Zero games, Mega Man ZX, and Mega Man ZX Advent, and sequenced by Anthony John Agnello.

These are available on standard edition black heavyweight LPs or Exclusive Edition red + yellow A side / B side effect heavyweight LPs:

As you might have noticed, the art adorning the “rigid board box” and “printed inner sleeves” isn’t just the usual fare we’ve seen from Inti Creates and Capcom. Rather, “Mega Man superfan illustrator ultimatemaverickx returns as sleeve artist, producing lore-faithful, vibrantly colourful panels depicting memorable story moments and highlighting major characters in iconic poses.”

Okay, look: Maybe “lore accurate” isn’t the best way to describe a cover that shows Zero, X, and Ciel chilling with Vent, Aile, Ashe, and Grey, but lore be damned, that piece slaps regardless. Frankly, I want this for the art alone. Not that I don’t want to hear the music, but I don’t have a record player. That’s never stopped me from getting Mega Man vinyl in the past, though!
