With the announcement of “Worlds Unite” earlier this week came the promise that more info about the second crossover event between Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog would come at New York Comic Con. Earlier today, the Archie Action Hour panel took place at the convention, and while not much new was said about the crossover, that doesn’t mean the panel was devoid of Mega Man news.

Archie’s adaptation of Mega Man 3 rolls (and rocks) on with the book’s 44th issue, bringing the story “Legends of the Blue Bomber” to a close. But, is that truly the end?

Midtown Comics is on top of things once again as they bring to us two new covers and the solicitation for Mega Man #42, and we must say, one of these covers looks simply Smashing.

By way of Midtown Comics, the covers and solicitation to Archie’s Mega Man #41 have been revealed– and it looks like the Mega Man 3 adaptation is finally here!

Just like the headline says, the second and third Mega Man games are now available for the Virtual Console! Which Virtual Console? The Nintendo 3DS one, of course.

When it comes to the logic of weakness chains, one game that seemed to baffle even the most hardcore Mega Man fans was Mega Man 3. From ninjas being weak to spinning tops to the zodiac destroying needles, the logic behind the weakness chains of the third entry in the series was quite bewildering for many.

Last week, we got to see the covers for the upcoming 36th issue in Archie’s Mega Man comic book. This week, by way of Mega Man Monthly, we can see that Archie has now released a solicitation to go with it.

As we reported previously, this week’s Nintendo Download update has a new sale featuring none other than Mega Man as one of “Your Favorite Gaming Friends.”
