When Nintendo first announced the upcoming amiibo interactive figures that would be based on several members of the Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS roster, one could not help but notice that the likes of third-party characters Mega Man, Pac-Man, and Sonic the Hedgehog were conspicuous by their absence.
