History: Celeste’s past prior to meeting Nytetrayn and the others is unknown. After a dangerous dig in a place called “The Devil’s Yard,” the group went to a nearby island’s hospital to get patched up and recover from the ordeal, and it was there that Nytetrayn found out about a young woman who’d been in a coma for some time. The facility had equipment capable of bringing her out of it, but needed a sufficient refractor in order to run it — and Nytetrayn had managed to salvage one from their voyage that fit the bill nicely, unfortunately for him at the time.

As the group was departing, the young woman managed to catch up to them before they left to thank them for helping her. After finding out that she had no memory and nothing to her name — and not even that — Nytetrayn felt responsible for putting her in such a predicament, and invited her to join them, to which she accepted. Thanks to some help from Xenos Geist’s Helpbots, she was soon outfitted with new custom attire to replace her outfit from the hospital’s donations box, and Nytetrayn came up with the name “Celeste,” which suited her fine.

Later, with the help of Adam Powers, the group looked to bring her into their line of work, equipping her with armor and weapons suited to the job. However, they came to discover that beyond her lack of skill with weapons, she has a terrifying fear of ruins. But as it turned out, she had her own unique ability: She could somehow sense when refractors were around her, possibly as a side-effect of the treatment she’d received to bring her out of her coma.

Since then, she and Nyte have grown closer. On a routine ruin run on Monroe Island, Fenix’s Air Pirate absentee father, Trevor Creed, jumped the group and kidnapped a terrified Celeste into the ruin. An infuriated Nytetrayn led the charge with Fenix and Janine in hot pursuit, and the ensuing battle would see Nytetrayn profess his true feelings for her. (Celeste wasn’t around for that part, but Fenix was anything but shy about letting it be known.)

After another near-fatal encounter with Creed, Celeste was able to return the favor. More concerned about her boyfriend than her fear of ruins, she and the others managed to surprise Creed, her own wild swings of her saber enough to cause him to retreat.

As Nytetrayn lay in critical but stable condition at the hospital, two strangers would appear with an offer to help. As Nytetrayn was revived and recovered, the group would travel back with them to their home world of Avion, where she found out that she could finally regain her lost memories, but decided it wasn’t worth possibly losing the life she’d built for herself. Instead, she’s looked to the one who would be her namesake, a human from long ago named Celeste McTreggor, as a source of inspiration going forward.

Personality: Warm, kind, caring, modest, and easygoing. Sometimes a little shy, maybe even bashful, particularly when it comes to her looks or receiving lots of praise. Something of a “cinnamon roll”. A bit on the meek side around the others originally, as she was the weakest and smallest of the group (aside from Radi), and so felt inadequate and a bit intimidated and next to the sheer collective power and abilities of those around her. After establishing a closer relationship with Nytetrayn, she’s recently become a bit more confident in her lot in life, and has decided to make the most of it. She’s gentle, and not a violent person by nature, though she understands the need for such action sometimes. She also has a curious and inquisitive side, as she’s had to relearn a lot about the world around her in an effort to figure out who she is, though not to the point it overrides her common sense.

Likes: Celeste likes Nytetrayn, her friends, and animals. She also likes to help people in whatever way she can, and has recently become interested in finding out more about her namesake in the hopes of finding a way to be able to help her friends more. She’s also shown some interest in historical artifacts.

Dislikes: She’s very wary of ruins, to the point of being petrified, though she has shown an ability to overcome it somewhat. She’s also scared of Reaverbots, at least those with an intent to kill intruders. Of course, she’s not very fond of Trevor Creed, either.

Shticks: She never takes off the refractor shard necklace she received from Nytetrayn, made from a part of the refractor which revived her.

Abilities: She can sense the whereabouts of refractors that are in her near vicinity, as well as some further away, depending on how large/powerful they may be, or what interference there might be in the area. Her cape also possesses camouflage capability.

Weaknesses: As a regular human (or “carbon”, if you prefer), Celeste is probably the weakest member of the group all around, though she has no outstanding physical weaknesses otherwise. She isn’t very good with handheld weapons, and though she’s tried working to overcome it, she remains terrified of ruins and the Reaverbots.

Weapons/Attacks: Thanks to Fenix, she’s armed with a long energy pistol and a beam saber, though she is far from proficient with either.
