Occupation: Digger / Former Purifier Unit
Height: 5′ 9″ / 175.26 cm
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Purple
Age: 25
History: Not much is known about Adam’s past, as he has largely chosen to keep it to himself, and no one has bothered to ask. So far, that’s worked out great for everyone involved.
He first met Nytetrayn, Fenix, and Janine when they came running for their lives out of a ruin on Monroe Island that he’d just settled down to explore. After a bit of an experience being caught in The Devil’s Yard, he eventually caught up with the group again, and has been a constant companion ever since, even inviting them along on his airship, the Sky Shark, to investigate ruins further away from their home base.
On one such voyage to Archie Island, he would discover the truth behind his mysterious refractor-embedded sword, an ancient relic he’d found during an earlier dig: It housed the spirit of MegaMan Blade, a Purifier Unit who’d been destroyed ages ago in a battle to stop Sherman East from carrying out his plot for an uprising against the System and to assume control over the planet. He and his brother, MegaMan Bullet, had given their lives in the effort, with Bullet’s ultimately being lost, while Blade — under circumstances he does not understand — wound up with his soul trapped in the sword he had once wielded. He is able to leave the sword, however, by effectively trading places with Adam.
During an earlier adventure, Adam managed to salvage and repair a relatively small, broken-down Hanmuru Doll Reaverbot. Now named Alpha-Red (though misinterpreted as “Alfred” by Nytetrayn), the Reaverbot acts as co-pilot of the Sky Shark, as well as helping to maintain it and assist Adam with other functions.
After arriving on Avion, he (literally) ran into a denizen named Katrina, who he spent much of his time hanging out with and seemingly growing closer to. Enough so that she had her commission reinstated so that she could return to Terra to be with him.
Personality: While generally more of a loner at heart, Adam has opened up more by hanging around the others, though he can still act colder towards strangers. He’s usually more practical, focused on business and getting things done, particularly when on a dig. Even so, he tries to maintain a “cool” facade at all times. He’s also a bit of a tinkerer, coming up with new weapons, modifications for his armor, and of course, his beloved airship.
Likes: Adam likes his friends, but loves his ship. So much, he’s even augmented himself with mechanical arms and legs that allow him to interface with and control his ship directly. He’s also proven to be rather fond of Katrina, though it’s anyone’s guess at this point which he likes more.
Dislikes: Air Pirates, Reaverbots (save for Alpha-Red), digs gone bad, people who do stupid things, and anyone who messes with the Sky Shark. Incidentally, Trevor Creed ticks at least two of those boxes.
Shticks: Refuses to be seen without his shades.
Abilities: As noted, Adam has replaced his natural arms and legs with mechanical versions which allow him to interface directly with his beloved airship, the Sky Shark, thus allowing him to pilot it with an unparalleled sense of control; it’s as though he and the ship are one when he utilizes this ability. A perk of these mechanical limbs is an increase in strength, speed, and stamina. He has further enhanced the legs to allow him to fly for short periods, and may have a few other secrets hidden within his limbs as well. He also has a suite of visual functions built into his shades, allowing him to scan along various frequencies, record, and even transmit data back to the Sky Shark where it can be studied.
Weaknesses: More of a loner first, Adam can seem bossy or uncaring when working with others, or will get lost in his own thoughts without paying heed to what is happening with those around him. He is also quick to anger if anyone messes with the Sky Shark.
Weapons/Attacks: Besides tinkering with other weapons such as plasma grenades, Adam’s main form of attack was his custom handheld Buster Shot gun. Since MegaMan Blade was reawakened, he has taken to teaching Adam how to use the five-foot long sword which houses his spirit. Though heavy, Adam’s cybernetic limbs allow him to wield it with ease, and he can even sometimes produce slashing waves of energy from its blade or use it to deflect attacks.
