ReCore Launch Day Video Round-Up
Have you met Mack? He’s one of the robots who will accompany you (in the role of Joule) in your mission in ReCore, the title from the former Metroid Prime developers at Armature Studio and former Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune which is available today — right now, even — for Xbox One and Windows 10.
Mack has been busy getting ready for launch, and he’s decided to take a day off:
There’s been quite a few videos and such surrounding the game which have come out leading up to the game’s release, but due to issues, I did not get around to posting them until now.
Here are some of the other videos and trailers I’ve come across in recent weeks as we’ve approached today’s launch. Also, be sure to check the end of this post below for some of my own thoughts on it.
First up, we have this gameplay trailer from Gamescom a few weeks back:
Next, we have the launch trailer from, er, eleven days ago? Okay, sure, why not?
And last, a little something different as Xbox On presents “5 Reasons to get EXCITED for ReCore“:
For what it’s worth, I’ve had my eye on this one for a while, and even got to play it last month at Microsoft’s X16 event. It’s drawn comparisons to Mega Man and Metroid Prime alike, and from my admittedly limited experience, those comparisons are not without merit.
It’s obviously not as strong as some other titles (you know the ones I mean), but there’s still a little something Mega Man-esque there. I’ve only played a bit, though, and I’m going to need sit down with it a bit more to really get at it.
Fortunately, I’m happy to say that I’ve managed to secure a copy of ReCore of my own to review, but only late yesterday, and I intend to review it right here for The Mega Man Network for those interested. You’ll just need to give me a bit of time.
If you’d rather look into it for yourself instead of waiting for me, it’s available now for $39.99 USD.
