Mega Man 9 & 10 Combo Pack for PlayStation 3 On Sale

If you own a PlayStation 3 and have been dragging your feet about buying Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10, waiting for just the right time, then good news! Your time is now!

This week in the North American PlayStation Store, Sony is holding a Capcom Sale on all sorts of titles, and among them is none other than what is described as the “Mega Man 9 & 10 Combo Pack.” Formerly offered on Amazon.com, you can pick up both titles — which ran for about $9.99 each upon their respective releases — for just $8.99. Hard to top that!

There are some potential downsides, however. One is that, as near as I can tell, the downloadable content for either game is not included — or at least they don’t say that it is, which would kind of make the inclusion of Bass (from Mega Man 7, no less) on the “package art” kind of misleading, now that I think about it. So maybe it is included? Has anyone bought this combo pack before? Tell us in the comments!

The other thing, of course, would be that these only run on the PlayStation 3. Though I’m sure the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita are more than capable of handling them, the releases are relegated to home console use only. Oh, and since PlayStation 4 can’t play PlayStation 3 games, that’s out of the running as well.

Still, if none of that is an issue for you, then it looks like a pretty good deal, all told. Two for less than the price of one! Then again, a quick glance reveals that there’s really no other way to buy them from the PlayStation Store now. Still, if you’re uncertain, there are free demos you can try.
