Talking Mega Man with The Power Button Podcast… and Ian Flynn, AND Matt Moylan!
Wow, how time flies! The last time I brought up The Power Button podcast here, I’d appeared on it to discuss video game cartoons, including Mega Man and Captain N: The Game Master (and maybe a touch of MegaMan NT Warrior?).
Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to appear on there several times, including to talk about Nintendo comics, Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics with special guest Ian Flynn (writer for Archie’s Sonic and Mega Man comics), and a whole slew of gaming things involving UDON Entertainment and Dreamwave Productions with special guest Matt Moylan (Director of Publishing for UDON). Throughout it all, however, we barely spoke of Mega Man.
The reason why? It’s all been building to this week’s episode, which took some aligning of the stars to happen, but it’s finally here: “Power Button – Episode 168: Blue Bomber Bonanza With Mega Man‘s Ian Flynn, Matt Moylan, And David Oxford“.
The five of us– the podcast’s largest panel ever, according to host Matthew Green of Press The Buttons— talk for two hours about everything we can think of regarding the Blue Bomber, including some behind-the-scenes stories and some teases and thoughts on things to come, including “Worlds Unite,” the adaptation of Mega Man 4, UDON’s upcoming projects, what it will take to get a dedicated Mega Man X comic to happen, and more. We even answer questions submitted from listeners!
In addition to just listening to the podcast on the page linked by the title above, you can also download it directly from Press The Buttons, find it on Stitcher, subscribe and get it on iTunes, or just plunk the RSS into your feed.
When you’ve finished listening, feel free to e-mail the guys or leave a message after the beep at (720) 722-2781 and tell them what you think.
