Hurry! Capcom-Unity Mega Man Art Contest Ends at Midnight on May 21st!
Oof, I wish I’d heard about this sooner. Still, there’s a bit of time left before the contest ends, so you still have a chance to enter!
In case you hadn’t heard already, Capcom-Unity is holding a Mega Man art contest in which they are asking people to submit what they think Mega Man would have looked like if he had the ability to alter his shape (as he does in Mega Man 11) when he acquired a new weapon from a Robot Master in the preceding ten mainline games (no mention is made of the Game Boy games or Mega Man & Bass, so it’s your call if you want to risk it).
This is all about style, so let your imagination run wild. We’re looking for the most creative and unique entries that fit the above theme, so don’t worry about your artistic skill level or the medium. Pencil sketches, paintings, digital art of any kind – go with what feels right to you! Your design can be an action shot, a reference sheet, Mega Man just lazing around, actively using a Robot Master’s power, or anything else that comes to mind.
So what do you get for your troubles? They’ve got a variety of prizes, as seen above, each signed by none other than Mega Man 11 producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya himself!
The contest is open to residents of the Americas — North, Central, and South — and entries are limited to one per person. Submit them to contest@capcom.com by 11:59pm PST on May 21st (the eve of Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2‘s release on the Nintendo Switch, of course), and they’ll announce the winners sometime in the following days.
