Surprise! Gal*Gunvolt Burst Hits PlayStation 4 Today!

Well, this certainly came out of nowhere.

Inti Creates just dropped me a line saying that their latest release, Gal*Gunvolt Burst, is available for the PlayStation 4 now on the PlayStation Store. That is, unless you live in a time zone where it hasn’t — but it will whenever the PlayStation Store updates in your local time on March 15th.

Unless you’re in Europe — you guys have to wait until April 6th, it seems.

Near as I can tell, this is basically just a port of Mighty Gunvolt Burst with a new name for some reason. Check out the trailer and decide for yourself:

Not that this is by any means a bad thing — in my humble opinion, Mighty Gunvolt Burst is the best thing to come out of the entire Mighty No. 9 debacle, and is what that game should probably have been in the first place (though some Mighty No. 9 fans are free to and will disagree). So the more people who can play it on the machine of their choice, the better!

Debuting alongside the main game is the Rival Characters downloadable content, which you can see in action here:
