Rumor: Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 on the Way?

So here’s a quick one via GameXplain to close out the week:

In case you’re not able to view the video, it says that a second Mega Man Legacy Collection has been rated in Korea for a release that includes Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10 — the remainder of the numbered entries in the main Classic series, in other words.

Though fewer in number with no side-games such as Mega Man & Bass, this would seem to be a more ambitious undertaking that one would presume is coming from Mega Man Legacy Collection and The Disney Afternoon Collection developer Digital Eclipse, as there are at least three different consoles’ being ported for this release, and larger files involved as well.

The hope is that the latter two entries would have all of their downloadable content, though it would be nice to also have the version of Mega Man 7 with the ending intact (looking at you, Mega Man Anniversary Collection). Then there would also be the matter of Mega Man 8‘s bonus content from the SEGA Saturn version: Would it be possible to keep PlayStation’s visuals with Saturn’s content? Or would having both versions be an option?

Per the rumor, this second Mega Man Legacy Collection would once more be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (probably through Steam), potentially leaving Nintendo fans out in the cold once again.

GameXplain cites Destructoid as the source of this information, but as of this writing, I cannot get any part of their site to load. Here is the link if you’d like to try your luck, and if I find out there’s anything substantial from their coverage that’s missing, I’ll try to add it here later.
