Mega Man Turns 20

This may seem a little premature to you Westerly folks, but it is officially the 17th in Japan and Capcom has already brought out the celebration. By blowing out (clicking on) the candles of the cake, we receive this message of thanks from series father Keiji Inafune:
“Thank you, everyone, for visiting the official site today to congratulate Rockman.
At last month’s “Rockman 20th Anniversary Commemoration Event” I received firsthand all of your warm support, and I felt that Rockman can grow along with you all from here on!
Thanks to everyone, both Rockman and I are here.
As Rockman continues towards his 25th and 30th anniversaries, I’d like to talk with all of you.
It’s been a great pleasure.”

Capcom is also showing off some 20th anniversary goods, both released and soon to be released, including the Ryuusei no Rockman 1 & 2 Official Soundtrack coming this January, and the Rockman & Rockman X Official Complete Works book coming in March. Not stopping there with commercial love, they’ve also placed a variety of apparel for sale on their store.

Finally there is a new wallpaper, where Mega Man has his cake.
