Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem: Mega Man 8 (Part 3)
Let’s see… defeated eight of the best Robot Masters Dr. Wily has ever personally concocted? Check.
Humiliated a powered-up (not that way) Bass on his home turf? Check.
Looks like all that’s left is a boss rush, and the big bad master of skulls and skull accessories himself!
Admittedly, a little easier said than done. For starters… the game didn’t save when we beat Green Devil last time! What’s with that? That’s precisely the kind of thing that makes me wary when the developer says they’ll decide where we can save, rather than letting us do it.
Oh well. Did it before, easy enough to do it again.
I thought that we’d finish up early tonight, but between that and maybe being a little rustier at handling Wily than expected, we pretty much managed to fill out the bulk of this episode nicely, wouldn’t you say?
As noted toward the end of the stream, next time on “Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem,” we’re going one of two ways: If we can get a functional setup of Mega Man & Bass that runs the English and character swapping patches (I own the game on GBA, but no way we’re doing a whole stream with that version), we’ll do that next. If not, we’re moving on to Mega Man 9.
But that’ll be a minute, because next week, it’ll be October! That means it’ll be time for another “Nadia & David” Halloween streaming marathon! That’s right, every weekend in October, we’re going to be streaming Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, and if we make it through that, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2! And if we make it through both? Eh, we’ll figure something out.
And after that, I’m dying for us to get our Sonic Racing CrossWorlds on and familiarize ourselves with the game before the Mega Man and Proto Man DLC drops, at which point we’ll probably do the DLC when it lands on TMMN.
Of course, life happens, and while Mega Man plans, Dr. Wily laughs. So follow The Mega Man Network on Bluesky and Twitter, and we usually announce what we’re doing, if we’re doing it about a day out.

“Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem” is a 90-minute stream we’ll be doing about once a month, where the plan is to play through every Mega Man game we can in (mostly) chronological order, according to the timeline. We started with the first Mega Man, and after we finished that, started Mega Man 2, and so on. Next time, we’ll pick up where we left off, and go on like so.
Once Classic is done, we’ll move on to Mega Man X, then Mega Man Zero, and so on. (And with any luck, there will be a “Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection” or something by the time we get to that, but if not, we have a contingency or two in mind.)
And of course, we love interacting with the chat during these streams, so if you’ve got questions about the Mega Man Field Guides from UDON, Legends of the Halcyon Era, poutine recipes, or just want to chat and share the love of Mega Man, drop on in! We’d love to have you!
Keep an eye on our Twitter (or just the Twitter sidebar here) to find out when we’re streaming next! We usually announce it a day or so ahead of time.
And if you’d like to support our streaming habits, please be sure to consider donating to our Ko-fi or Patreon!
