The Script for Mega Man Legends Timelines #1
One thing I’ve noticed since the announcement of UDON Entertainment’s Mega Man Timelines series of comic books — and, if we’re being honest, dating all the way back to the Archie days — is that there is a seeming lack of overlap between Mega Man fans and comic book fans. For example, the sheer number of people I’ve seen react to there being multiple covers, a standard comic book practice, was quite surprising indeed.
(Feel free to research the big Comic Book Boom of the ’90s, you’ll find out some fascinating stuff, including how Marvel — yes, that Marvel — nearly went bankrupt, and that’s why their movie rights were distributed to anyone who would take them.)
It’s with this in mind that I thought (and got permission) to share the following with you: The original script for Mega Man Legends Timelines #1, as presented to UDON more than a year ago. With this, you can see what I put to page, and through the collaborative process, how it turned into what reached your hands. (Or at least, I hope it did — be sure to grab a copy, if you haven’t got one already!)
With Mega Man Legends being the end of the timeline, and thus, Mega Man Legends Timelines being the end of the series, I did have some instructions for how to proceed with the story. I was told that MegaMan and Roll would discover our Met MacGuffin, Mixtape, buried in the Earth, having stopped functioning long ago. Roll’s interest in the old tech leads her to do some tinkering, wherein she discovers that the Met has a defect that made it non-aggressive. She also finds its visual record, which let them see the images of all the heroes of the past.
That’s basically what I was to work around, and admittedly, it changed a bit on the way (the non-aggressive part never really came up, for instance, as it was dormant for most of the story, and in my mind, Roll probably would have disabled its weapons if she thought it was a threat before bringing it online, anyway).
Here’s what I came up with:
(Note: For whatever reason, I can’t seem to indent blocks of text here, so know that in the original script had the dialogue and sound effect portions indented.)

CHARACTERS
MEGAMAN VOLNUTT
I’m thinking it might be better to go with his armor/appearance from the first Mega Man Legends (also used in Mega Man X DiVE), since that would help firmly establish this as being between the two games without having to explicitly state it or do anything else to facilitate that. This will also put it before Great Adventure on the 5 Islands, ideally giving us plenty of runway to go with after this if we continue in this gap between the two main games.

Given the nature of the fight scene in this, I wonder if he should wear his helmet for that? Either way, he should probably have his Jet Skates equipped (not visible on his character art above).

ROLL CASKETT
Just her normal look is fine here. https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Roll_Caskett
DATA
Looks like he always does. Is mostly going to be in the background doing stuff, or just lurking around. Cheerleader for Team MegaMan & Roll when they try to get possession of the Met, might join in the fight?
MET (Mixtape)
Our Macguffin. The looks of Mets have changed over the years, so we should probably look to have this one slightly-evolved, too. Something post-ZX would be ideal, but in truth, it should probably look so rusted and broken down that it doesn’t matter. In the end, Roll updates its appearance to something a little more contemporary for the Legends time period. Just be sure to keep whatever quirk or schtick is established previously to set it apart. (The piece of the original Mega Man’s helmet used as a patchwork.) https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Met#Mega_Man_ZX_series
CIEL
Only seen from behind in silhouette, much like she appeared in the Mega Man ZX series. Not calling her by name, the footage will need to look old and low-fidelity. People should only just be able to make out who she is enough to speculate that it is her.

THE BONNES – TEISEL, TRON, BON, and the SERVBOTS
The antagonists of the story. After the first game, they opened up a department store, and that’s why they’re here – on business, making deliveries and that sort of thing, which is when they hear about the great discovery.
Teisel should be in more of a store uniform type of outfit, like a polo shirt and slacks, based on the store colors: https://x.com/RockmanCosmo/status/1374831137818742787 While yellow and black and red seem to be the main colors on the sign and balloon, I think something in the colors of the tent on top could work well, too. While it would be funny to have him wear the outfit over his armor, Legends 2 does show him wearing a suit with normal proportions, so probably better to go with that. He should have a matching cap with the store/Bonne logo on it, too.
https://www.legends-station.com/mml2/screens/opening/018.jpg
Tron could have her own uniform, too, but she’s going to be in her normal attire. https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Tron_Bonne
Same deal for Bon and the Servbots.
Note that Tron is the only character we seem to have official height data for (I think), at 155cm/5’1”. MegaMan and Roll are about the same height, with most adults being just a little taller, but Teisel is TOWERING: https://www.legends-station.com/mml1/screens/theodorebruno/043.jpg
And Bon is taller still. https://www.legends-station.com/mml1/screens/theodorebruno/040.jpg
REAVERBOTS
Won’t have many of these, except on the first page. https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Reaverbot

OTHERS
Barrell Caskett and Werner Von Bluecher make a cameo, but as much younger, Digger versions of their modern selves. https://www.legends-station.com/mml2/screens/ending/051.jpg
Matilda and Joe Caskett get a cameo from their Digger days, too. https://www.legends-station.com/mml2/screens/opening/005.jpg
Other characters from the “Diggers” category here might be used in the cameo sequence as well. https://www.legends-station.com/?id=motb-characters
Kattelox Citizen: Someone who talks to Teisel about getting his delivery. Any generic Legends-looking townsperson will do. Maybe the Junk Shop owner would be a good pick, if you want someone more specific? https://www.legends-station.com/?id=mml1-characters
Guards/Officers: Seen outside of City Hall, and issuing the ticket to the Bonnes. Not looking at using the Inspector, just the regular officer designs.

VEHICLES AND PLACES
FLUTTER
MegaMan and Roll’s traveling base of operations. When MegaMan brings back the Met, Roll gives it a look before determining she doesn’t have the equipment to do it there. Makes the most sense for her to examine it in the lab, but if for some reason that doesn’t work, she can probably figure it out on the bridge just as easily.

RUINS
This is where MegaMan finds the Met, hidden away somewhere in a very, very old part of the ruin – older even than any of the other ruins he’s been in.
For the exterior, a standard ruin subgate works:

https://www.legends-station.com/mml1/screens/clozersubgate/001.jpg
For the interior, the standard Ocean Tower from the start of MML1 works, but if we can make it look even more ancient, like the stone/brick/red dirt part of the Nakkai Ruins, even better.

MUSEUM (Back Room)
After speaking to Mayor Amelia, MegaMan and Roll learn about a long-unused back room of the Museum, which is where they’ll be studying the Met. This room itself does not exist in the game, so it’ll have to be designed from scratch. Pics of the museum itself are here, if that’s any help:

CLOZER WOODS
This is where the Bonnes try to make their getaway with the Met, and try to fend off MegaMan and Roll as they battle for possession of the Met. Despite the name, there’s a lot of wide-open space here for them to run around and fight in. Battle ends at the cliff of the quarry that Teisel dug up in the first game trying to get into the ruin there.

PACKESEL
German for “pack mule”, at least as far as I can find. If anyone knows someone who can verify, that would be great. This is the Bonne Department Store delivery ship. It will be an original design, but since it seems like all the airships are based off of aquatic life, something big and boxy might be a good basis. Sperm whale, maybe?

PAGE ONE
NOTE: For this page, I’m imagining a series of four or five panels stretching across the width of the page, stacked vertically, each showing a progression of Volnutt’s journey into this ruin.
In addition, besides making a callback to the opening scene of the first Mega Man Legends, each panel should have the action moving from right to left to evoke a sort of sense of progressing backwards, as MegaMan moves from his modern setting to one further and further from the past.
(A) TEXT BOX (at the top)
In a world covered by endless water…
PANEL 1 – A stretch of ocean is set against a blue sky. At the far right, we can see the Flutter flying as it approaches a simple island coming into view on the far left.
PANEL 2 – Exterior of the ruin, with the Flutter parked in a hovering position outside on the right of the panel. Perhaps we can see the silhouette of MegaMan Volnutt walking towards the ruin entrance, waving behind him at Roll, who is still in the Flutter.
PANEL 3 – Interior of the ruin. It looks much like your average Mega Man Legends ruin, with a sort of old-high tech design on the walls, and surprisingly well-lit for a ruin, though not overly bright. In an almost side-scrolling sort of perspective, we see MegaMan (with his helmet on) making his way from the right to the left, dispatching some Reaverbots along the way with little trouble. (Horokko would be good here, maybe some floating Foo-Roo, and a Cannam on the ceiling. See link in “Reaverbots” above.)
PANEL 4 – Further into the ruin, the architecture starts to look older, the Reaverbots fewer in number, and the halls a little darker. Wherever MegaMan is, it’s clear that even by the standards of the Ancients and Reaverbots, no one has been here in a long time. He continues his progression from right to left, only more towards the center this time.
(1) ROLL (via transmitter)
–egaMan, can –u hear me?
(2) MEGAMAN
Barely, Roll. This ruin runs deep – maybe deeper than any ruin we’ve dug in before!
PANEL 5 – No Reaverbots, and while not pitch black, there is less light here than in the other areas. The walls can barely be made out. MegaMan is still moving right to left, only now he’s closer to the left side of the panel.
(3) ROLL
You only brought enough equipment for a light dig. Maybe you should turn back…
(4) MEGAMAN
Just a little further… I think there’s something… special… down here. I can feel it…
PAGE TWO
Splash Page with a slight low-angle shot focusing on MegaMan, who we now see clearly for the first time, opening a treasure chest at the end of the hallway deep within the ruin. Maybe go for the “Pulp Fiction” sort of approach, where the back of the chest is to us, and something is shining out of it, illuminating MegaMan, who is facing us at an angle?
Mega Man can either have one hand holding up the lid while the other rests on the bottom edge of the chest, or be doing his signature fist-pump: https://youtube.com/shorts/4UhbcLFkNCA?si=KnwCMA8W6xk8XbhM
Treasure Chest could look like standard Mega Man Legends chest (like Mimic here, minus the legs https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Mimic?file=MML2MimicConcept.png ), or a more unique design to further emphasize its age.
Good place for logo, title, credits, etc.

CREEEAK
(1) MEGAMAN
Jackpot!
PAGE THREE
PANEL 1 – Closer shot of the exterior of the Flutter, back outside the ruin.
(A) TEXT BOX
Soon, back on the Flutter…
(1) MEGAMAN (from inside)
What do you think it is?
PANEL 2 – Inside the Lab of the Flutter, Roll and MegaMan stand around a table with the dome-like Met helmet sitting on it, inactive. Roll looks deep in thought, determined to figure this out, with one hand on her chin with its elbow resting in her other hand. MegaMan is looking at her, wondering if even she can figure it out.
(2) ROLL
I don’t know. I’ve never seen anything like this before. It doesn’t look like any Reaverbot I’ve ever seen…
PANEL 3 – Roll lifts the Met’s helmet up, revealing the degraded robotic interior as she tries to examine and study some ports.
(3) ROLL
…and I don’t think I’ve got the equipment we’d need here to dig even deeper.
PANEL 4 – MegaMan looks at the globe from one of the shelves in the room (check the timestamp in the YouTube video linked above for a pic).
(4) MEGAMAN
Hey, it looks like we’re not too far from Kattelox… do you think maybe Mayor Amelia could help? She knows all kinds of things about ancient stuff.
PANEL 5 – Roll looks up from the Met at MegaMan.
(5) ROLL
It’s worth a shot! Let’s go find out!
PAGE FOUR
PANEL 1 – Exterior shot of the City Hall on Kattelox Island.
(A) TEXT BOX
One road trip later, at the Mayor’s office on Kattelox Island…
(1) MAYOR AMELIA (from within the building)
You know…
PANEL 2 – Inside the Mayor’s office, Amelia, MegaMan, and Roll are all standing around the Met helmet. Amelia has a similar pose to Roll earlier with her hand in her chin, while MegaMan and Roll are looking at her, waiting to hear what she thinks.
(2) MAYOR AMELIA
…I’ve never seen anything quite like it before.
PANEL 3 – MegaMan and Roll look defeated when Amelia continues.
(3) MAYOR AMELIA
But I think I know where you can find the tools to help you figure it out.
PANEL 4 – Cut to the inside of the dusty, darkened back room at the museum, illuminated by the light from the door as Amelia stands in the doorway, having opened it to let MegaMan and Roll inside.
PANEL 5 – As MegaMan and Roll enter the now-lit room, Amelia is looking over her shoulder back into the museum with a look that’s partially unamused, but also taking a little joy in busting someone’s chops over it.
(4) MAYOR AMELIA
It used to be a lot more active, before someone decided to de-emphasize the sciences
in favor of the arts.”
(5) CURATOR (from offscreen, the tail of the word balloon extending out the door)
I told you, there are a lot of people who’ll come to see this!
PANEL 6 – Roll is digging around the equipment, not paying heed to what’s happening around her, while Amelia turns to leave and MegaMan waves to her.
(6) MAYOR AMELIA
Anyway, I’ll leave you two to it. Just let me know what you find, okay?
(7) MEGAMAN
Thanks, Mayor!
PANEL 7 – Roll has the Met’s top pulled back/opened up, and there are wires and cords connected to various parts, and a large display monitor is set up, and she’s about to press a button on an old console of some type.
(B) TEXT BOX
A short time later…
(8) ROLL
Let’s see if we can pull anything from its data banks!
PANEL 8 – Miraculously, something inside the Met hums to life, though the Met itself remains in its dormant state, eyes closed.
(SFX)
HUMMMMM…
PAGE FIVE
Splash page. On the display are several scenes from the Met’s previous adventures with various Mega Men through the ages. (Ideally, using actual panels from the previous four issues would be good here, though they should be a bit distorted, due to age and deterioration.) MegaMan and Roll look on, eyes wide in amazement as history unfolds right before their eyes. A good effect might be to have MegaMan and Roll be illuminated by the images from the display.
(1) MEGAMAN (low-key, small balloon)
…whoa.
PAGE SIX
PANEL 1 – MegaMan spots something in one image, and points to it.
(1) MEGAMAN
Hey, can we zoom in on this one?
PANEL 2 – Roll does so, and footage plays showing Ciel from behind in silhouette. It should only be just clear enough for the reader to likely be able to figure out who it is from the colors and some of the shapes, but not anything else about her. She’s standing before a display of her own, which is displaying something that looks like a refractor (perhaps in wireframe), and can be heard saying something, though it’s garbled by static.
(2) CIEL
–L System… …crisis… … unlimi… energy…
PANEL 3 – MegaMan squints and leans in close, trying to make out part of the image. (Can probably merge this with Panel 2 for space, if needed)
(3) MEGAMAN
Is that… a refractor?
PANEL 4 – Roll is shaking MegaMan by the shoulders, shouting.
(4) ROLL
MegaMan! Do you realize what this could be?!
(5) ROLL (continued)
If this can show us how refractors are made…
PANEL 5 (larger panel in the center of the page might be good here) – As Roll continues, images of various Diggers throughout their history are shown around them, including a young Barrell and Von Bluecher, various Diggers as seen in The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, and finally, the young Matilda and Joe Caskett, Roll’s parents.
(6) ROLL
Diggers have been searching for something like this for years! An energy source so vast that people wouldn’t have to worry about digging for refractors ever again! If this shows us how to create refractors…
(7) ROLL (continued)
…we might have just discovered the legendary Mother Lode!!
PANEL 6 – Roll now looks worried, hand up by her mouth.
(8) ROLL
But… if this is the Mother Lode…
PANEL 7 – MegaMan puts a hand on her shoulder, and she smiles as she looks at him.
(9) MEGAMAN
…then it might not help us find your parents.”
(10) MEGAMAN
But don’t worry, Roll. We’ll keep looking until we find them.
PANEL 8 – Suddenly, there’s an explosion that takes out the outer wall of the room.
(SFX)
KA-BOOM!
PAGE SEVEN
PANEL 1 – As the smoke clears, the Gustaff can be seen standing amidst the rubble, maybe with some Servbots standing around it. While MegaMan and Roll are coughing and getting their bearings, an electronic voice from the Gustaff announces…
(1) TRON (inside Gustaff)
Alright, hand over the treasure, and no one gets –
PANEL 2 – Close-up on the “face” of the Gustaff with a big “!” somewhere around the head.
PANEL 3 – The Gustaff’s hatch starts to open…
PANEL 4 – Wide shot, with and angrily confused Tron inside the open Gustaff’s pilot seat on the left, and MegaMan and Roll on the right, all shouting as they realize who they’re dealing with. In the middle is a single, large word balloon:
(2) TRON, MEGAMAN, & ROLL (in unison)
YOU?!
PANEL 5 – Roll has her fists clenched, or perhaps one hand is pointed at Tron as she demands to know:
(3) ROLL
But how did you find out about this?!
PANEL 6 – With a cocky smirk, Tron mockingly replies.
(4) TRON
Word gets around fast in a little burg like this. Especially if you know the right people…
PANEL 7 – Cut to a shot of a Servbot carrying a Bonne Department Store box over its head past the pair of guards stationed outside of City Hall, looking at them and listening as it passes. One guard is talking to the other.
(5) GUARD
Hey, did you see those two kids who were in here earlier? The way they were acting, you’d think they found the Mother Lode!
PAGE EIGHT
PANEL 1 – Cut back to Tron, still with a cocky smirk, but now also a nervous sweatdrop indicating that she knows she’s not quite as well-connected as she’s putting on, and it was more just random dumb luck. Depending on the shot, maybe MegaMan and Roll are looking up at her in the Gustaff, a little awkwardly as she recalls the thought internally.
PANEL 2 – Tron continues talking to them, confidently.
(1) TRON
Anyway, since we have a bit of history, I think we can work something out. I’m giving you another chance to join our side, MegaMan, and we can reap the rewards of your discovery together!
PANEL 3 – Tron continues, now with a mocking smirk towards Roll. (thinking maybe something like this, with the hand and all: https://x.com/Maishtar_Colo/status/1826335795223167486 )
(2) TRON
And since I’m in a good mood today, I’ll even let you bring your blonde friend along. We could use a maid, after all.
PANEL 4 – MegaMan looks defiant, while Roll just has her arms crossed, her head down and eyes closed angrily.
(3) MEGAMAN
No way!
(4) ROLL
Nuh-uh!
PANEL 5 – The rejected Tron turns her head away from them, her nose up and eyes closed.
(5) TRON
Hmmph!
(6) TRON
Fine! Be that way!
PANEL 6 – Some of the Servbots carry the Met through the hole in the wall, having grabbed it while MegaMan and Roll were distracted.
(7) SERVBOT (just one of them)
We got the relic, Miss Tron!
(8) TRON
Good job! Now let’s get out of here!
PANEL 7 – Outside, Tron quickly fires a few blasts at the wall at the top of the hole, bringing down some more rubble and dust to cover their escape.
(SFX)
PSHEW! PSHEW! PSHEW! (Okay, I’m honestly not sure what would be better here. “Pew pew pew” doesn’t seem right for the different sound Legends Buster shots make.)
(SFX)
CRASH!
PANEL 8 – Inside, MegaMan and Roll are coughing into their fists and trying to wave away the cloud of dust.
(SFX)
Cough-cough!
PANEL 9 – MegaMan starts climbing through the rubble towards an opening near the top, while Roll shouts after him.
(9) MEGAMAN
I’m going after them!
(10) ROLL
Be careful, MegaMan! I’ll be right behind you!
PAGE NINE
PANEL 1 – In the Clozer Woods, Teisel is standing there in his Bonne Department Store uniform, holding a pen to his lips and looking over a clipboard when Tron and the Servbots come running up.
(1) TRON (electronically, from within the Gustaff, as it should be going forward when it’s closed up)
Teisel!
PANEL 2 – Tron opens the Gustaff, and tells Teisel:
(2) TRON
MegaMan is right behind us, and we need to get out of here right now! Where’s the Packesel?!
PANEL 3 – A panicked Teisel responds.
(3) TEISEL
I’m not sure! Bon was supposed to meet us here for pickup!
PANEL 4 – Cut to somewhere else on the island, around the city, where the Packesel is hovering in place, but has something that looks like a car boot (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/CrL5tqFczPE/maxresdefault.jpg ) but for airships attached to it. Next to the ship are Bon and some Servbots, with an angry-looking Bon holding a ticket and arguing with a pair of Kattelox police officers.
(4) OFFICER
I’m sorry, sir, but you parked your airship in a ‘no parking’ zone.
(5) BON
Babuu!
PANEL 5 – Closer shot of Bon arguing with the officers.
(6) OFFICER
Sir, there’s no need for that kind of language. Just pay the fine, we’ll unlock your vehicle, and you can be on your way.
(7) BON (yelling)
BABUU!!!
PANEL 6 – The officer who’s been doing the talking talks behind his hand to the other officer.
(8) OFFICER
Sigh… I swear, it’s like talking to an infant…
PANEL 7 – Back in the Clozer Woods, MegaMan catches up to Tron and the rest.
(9) MEGAMAN (shouting)
There you are!
(10) MEGAMAN
Now give us back our… weird… helmet… thing!
PANEL 8 – Tron scoffs at the demand.
(11) TRON
HA! If you want it back that bad, then you’re just going to have to take it!
PAGE TEN
PANEL 1 – MegaMan leaps over the Servbots carrying the Met, plucking it from their grasp in the process.
(1) MEGAMAN
Yoink!
PANEL 2 – Tron closes up the Gustaff and fires its arm cannon after the escaping MegaMan.
(SFX)
PSHEW! PSHEW! PSHEW!
(2) TRON (yelling)
Hey! You bring that back!
PANEL 3 – MegaMan shouts back at Tron, as he continues running away with the Met while dodging gunfire and trying to keep the Met from getting hit.
(3) MEGAMAN
But you’re the one who said I had to take it if I wanted it!
PANEL 4 – MegaMan kicks it up a notch with his jet skates, and rams his way past some Servbots who are trying to tackle him, knocking them aside. (Reference for how he’d be moving with his Jet Skates: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fupa0GltOs )
PANEL 5 – MegaMan ducks while skating as two more Servbots try to get him from his left and his right, and they collide head-on with each other in mid-air over him.
PANEL 6 – As MegaMan skates by part of the wooded/tall grass area bordering the clearing, one of the Servbots pops out, laying flat on its stomach while holding a long branch out. MegaMan is too busy looking at the Servbots fumbling behind him, and doesn’t see the branch until it’s too late,
PANEL 7 – MegaMan trips over the branch, and the Met goes flying, right into the waiting hand (well, hand) of the Gustaff.
(4) MEGAMAN
AAAAAH!!!
PAGE ELEVEN
PANEL 1 – Back on the sideline, we see Teisel, cheering on Tron and the Servbots like a coach, maybe making some boxing punching motions.
(1) TEISEL
Yeah! You show ‘im, Tron! Don’t let that little blue boy get the better of you! Show ‘im the ol’ one-two!
PANEL 2 – One of the citizens from Kattelox taps Teisel on the arm from off-panel to our left.
(2) KATTELOX CITIZEN
Um, excuse me?
PANEL 3 – Teisel turns to look at the newcomer, who is now visible on-panel and isn’t really paying any attention to what’s going on nearby.
(3) KATTELOX CITIZEN
I heard my delivery is here? Is this the right place?
PANEL 4 – Teisel turns to give him his full attention, and is all business, as he pulls out a Bonne Department Store box, which he keeps under his arm, and hands over the clipboard and pen to the Citizen.
As this whole exchange goes on, more random chaos goes on in the background behind them, with MegaMan, Tron, and the Servbots all running and jumping around, maybe some explosions and flying Servbots.
(4) TEISEL
Oh! Mr. Spiegel! Yes, I have your package right here.
(5) TEISEL
I just need you to sign and date next to the X’s on this form.
PANEL 5 – Teisel looks the form over, and hands over the package.
(6) TEISEL
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm… okay, everything seems to be in order here.
PANEL 6 – Teisel doffs his cap to the Citizen as they leave with their package.
(7) TEISEL
Enjoy your package, and thank you for shopping at Bonne Department Store!
PANEL 7 – Teisel turns his attention back to the battle, and continues where he left off, but is interrupted by someone off to the opposite side of him from where the customer was (on our right).
(8) TEISEL
Now, as I was saying: Show no mercy, Tro–
(9) DATA (from off-panel, covering the end of Teisel’s word balloon)
Ki ki!
PANEL 8 – Teisel looks over, and Data is there, cheering MegaMan on happily, waving a pair of blue cheerleading pom-poms.
(10) DATA
Ki ki! Ki ki! Ki–
PANEL 9 – Teisel looks away from Data while whistling innocently as he kicks Data away off panel (ideally towards us, where all we see of Data is his lower-half as he flies off).
(11) TEISEL

(12) DATA
–kiiiii~!!!
PAGE TWELVE
PANEL 1 – Data lands in the middle of the melee, and collides with the Servbot that had the Met. Inset panel of Teisel panicking over costing his side as the Met goes flying again.
(SFX)
POW!!
(1) SERVBOT and DATA
OOF!!
(2) TEISEL
AAH!!!
PANEL 2 – Overhead shot, as the Met goes flying through the air towards the waiting arms of the Gustaff.
(3) TRON
I’ve got it!
PANEL 4 – Close-up on the Gustaff’s hands and MegaMan’s hands both catching the Met.
PANEL 5 – Both MegaMan and the taller Gustaff are holding the Met together, staring at each other face-to-face. Inset of Tron inside the Gustaff, getting all flustered and embarrassed over the situation that has her almost sort of holding hands with her secret crush.
PANEL 6 – In a moment of startled panic, Tron accidentally relinquishes her grip on the Met, and MegaMan immediately takes off with it.
PANEL 7 – As MegaMan takes off with the Met, Tron shouts at the Servbots.
(4) TRON
Don’t just get him! Stand there!
PANEL 8 – The Servbots look at each other in confusion. One of them has a sweatdrop.
(5) SERVBOT 1
???
(6) SERVBOT 2
…
(7) SERVBOT 3
Uhhh…
PANEL 9 – Tron points after MegaMan and shots from within the Gustaff as the Servbots give chase and take off after MegaMan.
(8) TRON
AFTER HIM!
PAGE THIRTEEN
PANEL 1 – Tron is just about to give chase as well, when a loud honking comes from off-panel.
(SFX)
HONK! HONK!
(1) TRON
…huh?
PANEL 2 – Tron turns the Gustaff just in time to get its arms up when Roll drives the Support Car right into her, possibly knocking a Servbot or two out of the way in the process.
(SFX)
CRASH!!
PANEL 3 – It’s a battle of power and wills as we see the Support Car trying to push the Gustaff back, while the Gustaff digs its heels in and manages to hold its ground. Insets of Tron and Roll gritting their teeth in determination as they each try to win this push-of-war.
PANEL 4 – Finally, Tron manages to outmaneuver the Support Car, using the Gustaff to flip the vehicle over onto its side.
(SFX)
THUD!
PANEL 5 – Tron taunts her toppled opponent as she resumes her chase after MegaMan and the Met.
(2) TRON
Sorry, blondie, but you have to get up pretty early in the morning to get one over on me!
PAGE FOURTEEN
PANEL 1 – MegaMan calls out to Roll, concerned, before getting sacked by a Servbot or two, once again sending the Met flying.
(1) MEGAMAN
Roll!
(2) MEGAMAN
OOF!!
PANEL 2 – Tron regains possession of the Met, and takes off with it.
(3) TRON
HAH!
PANEL 3 – As this happens, Roll kicks open the door on the back of the Support Car, and pops out with the Powered Buster. Mounting it on her shoulder like a bazooka, she fires it at the Gustaff while shouting. https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Powered_Buster
(4) ROLL
Oh no you don’t!
PANEL 4 – The projectile hits the Gustaff square in the chest, causing it to lose the Met once again, and MegaMan grabs it and runs.
PANEL 5 – MegaMan is now between the Gustaff and the Servbots, and the Gustaff, chest now smoking, points at MegaMan.
(5) TRON
SERVBOTS! MERGE FOR THE KILL!
PANEL 6 – With that, the Servbots all form up and combine into one giant King Servbot, carrying what looks like a big toy squeaky hammer. https://youtu.be/MOrg_Fy3oH0?si=zWPmVz5lfS_dIaH9&t=27 https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/King_Servbot
PANEL 7 – A shadow is cast over MegaMan, as he looks up nervously at the new, giant foe.
(6) MEGAMAN
Uh-oh…
PAGE FIFTEEN
Splash page. King Servbot fills most of the page as it delivers a sideways golf-like swing of the hammer to MegaMan, sending both him and the Met flying in different directions. MegaMan is sent flying off to the right of the panel, while the Met goes flying skyward.
(SFX)
WHACK!!!
PAGE SIXTEEN
PANEL 1 – The giant King Servbot approaches MegaMan with its mallet prepared for an overhead swing.
(1) MEGAMAN
Ugh…
PANEL 2 – A Grand Grenade ( https://www.legends-station.com/mml1/guides/sw-grandgrenade5.png ) bounces and lands in front of King Servbot, stopping it in its path.
(SFX)
Thunk-thunk…
(2) KING SERVBOT
?
PANEL 3 – The Grand Grenade explodes, blowing King Servbot apart and back into its individual components.
PANEL 4 – Cut to a shot of a smirking Roll (at the Support Car?) with one arm full of Grand Grenades, and the other arm holding another one aloft and prepared for another toss if necessary.
PAGE SEVENTEEN
PANEL 1 – Overhead shot. As the Met goes flying through the air, it’s heading towards a quarry – the same one dug by Teisel with the Marlwolf (feel free to show its destroyed remains down in the pit) in their last adventure on the island. The Gustaff is running towards the cliffside in an effort to intercept it.
PANEL 2 – Side view. Tron tries to catch it right at the edge of the cliff before it falls in, stopping short and teetering on the edge as the Met falls just past the Gustaff’s fingertips.
(1) TRON
Oh no!!
PANEL 3 – Tron (via the Gustaff’s head) looks behind her as a crack forms, and the ledge begins to break apart.
(2) TRON
Wha…?
PANEL 4 – Same side view as Panel 2. The Gustaff jumps safely back to firmer ground, on the other side of the crack.
(3) TRON
Whew!
PANEL 5 – Same side view as Panels 2 and 4. Unfortunately, it’s too late: A large boulder-like chunk of cliff breaks off and begins to fall down into the pit.
(4) TRON
…
PANEL 6 – Shot of the Met laying down at the bottom of the quarry.
PANEL 7 – Same shot as Panel 6, only now the large boulder has landed on top of the Met, engulfing it like there wasn’t even anything there.
(SFX)
THUD!!!
PAGE EIGHTEEN
PANEL 1 – Back at the top of the cliff, we see everyone who can fit (from MegaMan, Roll, Teisel, Data, and the Servbots) all looking sadly over the edge, distraught, where they all witnessed the Met’s apparent grim demise. Perspective is looking up at them from inside the pit as they look down at the viewer over the edge of the cliff.
PANEL 2 – Side view. Tron starts to walk away, and tries to be dismissive of the whole thing, hiding her disappointment. Teisel, still with the others, looks back at her as she speaks.
(1) TRON
W-well, whatever data that thing had probably wasn’t that valuable, anyway.
PANEL 3 – Same side view. Teisel and the Servbots walk away as well, leaving MegaMan, Roll, and Data all still peering down into the chasm, sharing in Tron’s disappointment.
(2) TEISEL
Maybe you’re right, Tron.
(3) TEISEL
Oh, but what might have been…
PANEL 4 – Same side view. Maybe now the sun starts to set. MegaMan, Roll, and Data are still looking down into the chasm, while the Bonnes are now off-panel. Teisel asks from off-panel:
(4) TEISEL
By the way, Tron, did you remember to lock up the store before we left to make our deliveries?
PANEL 5 – Same side view. Maybe the sun is a little lower now,
(5) TRON
Don’t worry, I had #20 do it.
(6) SERVBOT
Uh-ohhhh…
PANEL 6 – Cut to the Bonne Department Store exterior, where there’s a broken window, out of which comes a word balloon to the left:
(7) BURGLAR
Alright, time to make a killing off of all these state-of-the-art… HD-DVD players?! Oh, no…
TEXT BOX (TEISEL) (lower right)

Epilogue
PANEL 1 – Exterior shot of the museum, showing the wall where Tron broke in, and some light coming from it. It can be nighttime, or maybe even sunrise. A word balloon pokes out of the rubble-filled hole.
(1) MEGAMAN
Any luck…?
PANEL 2 – Larger splash image, focus of the page. Inside the museum backroom, a happy, grease-covered Roll has finished restoring the Met, which is active and now has a more contemporary look. A smiling MegaMan stands opposite her, with the Met on the table between them, closer to the viewer. If possible, try to show the Legends 1 Drill Arm (https://www.legends-station.com/?id=mml1-special-weapons ) sitting nearby, as a subtle clue as to how they got the Met back from under the boulder.
(2) ROLL
Turns out it’s sturdier than it looks! That helmet can take a surprising amount of punishment!
PAGE TWENTY
PANEL 1 – MegaMan points at the blue plate on the Met’s helmet with a look of curiosity on his face.
(1) MEGAMAN
Why didn’t you fix this?
(2) ROLL
I don’t know, I kind of like it. It gives it a certain charm.
PANEL 2 – The Met should be out of shot now, as MegaMan turns his attention back to Roll and asks her:
(3) MEGAMAN
What about the data? The Mother Lode?
PANEL 3 – Roll just sadly shakes her head.
(4) ROLL
Turns out, there was nothing there.
(5) ROLL (continuing)
Right after the footage we saw, it looks like this little guy got distracted by some sort of… glowing butterfly or something, and went after it.
PANEL 4 – Roll looks more upset.
(6) ROLL
Sigh. I guess there just wasn’t anything valuable here, after all.
PANEL 5 – MegaMan gives her a reassuring but enthusiastic smile, and Roll smiles back.
(7) MEGAMAN
Don’t worry, Roll. I know we’ll find it someday.
PANEL 6 – The two clasp hands as Roll responds. (More like this than anything romantic. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xFizxc1rmtE/maxresdefault.jpg )
(8) ROLL
And we’ll do it together!
PANEL 7 – As they’re clasping hands, they look over to where the Met was a moment ago, only to see it’s no longer there. A confused Roll asks:
(9) ROLL
Hey, where’d it go?
PAGE TWENTY-ONE
Splash page. Cut to somewhere outside, where it’s a new day, and the Met is off on its next adventure, happily chasing a butterfly (perhaps in one of the fields around Kattelox) as another Mega Man memory has been added to its databanks. Large close-up of the Met marching along with a happy expression, and (translucent?) images of previous encounters appear over it. Alternatively, maybe have translucent images of all the different MegaMen and other significant characters (like Roll Caskett) against the sky.
