Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem: Mega Man 8 (Part 1)
After taking a break to indulge in some arcade action, we’re back to the mainline Mega Man Classic series once again as we Jump! Jump! Slide! Slide! into one of my favorite eras of Mega Man, the 32-Bit Era, with Mega Man 8!
Of course, this being from Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, that means we’re sadly playing the PlayStation version of the game, which means no cutting up with Cut Man and branching out with Wood Man. Can’t have it all, I guess. Oh well. The longer the franchise has gone on, the less sense having Cut Man there made, anyway, I guess.
While I wasn’t the biggest fan of Mega Man 8 upon its release for various reasons, it’s definitely grown on me with time, as you’ll hear us talk about in the video. I don’t know whether or not I’d call it a favorite, but it’s probably in my Top 5 from Classic I’d want to have with me on a desert island.
We only managed to get past Duo at the midway point and unlock the second four Robot Masters guarding Wily Tower, so next time on “Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem,” we’re going to pick up from there. Will we reach the end before the stream is over? We’ll just have to wait and see!
But the next time we stream, we… actually don’t know what we’re going to play yet. Might be the next “Mega Man Mayhem,” but more likely, we’re going to do something else entirely in “Nadia & David Ruin Video Games,” which ought to be on August 15th, give or take.
Of course, life happens, and while Mega Man plans, Dr. Wily laughs. So follow The Mega Man Network on Bluesky and Twitter, and we usually announce what we’re doing, if we’re doing it about a day out.

“Nadia & David’s Mega Man Mayhem” is a 90-minute stream we’ll be doing about once a month, where the plan is to play through every Mega Man game we can in (mostly) chronological order, according to the timeline. We started with the first Mega Man, and after we finished that, started Mega Man 2, and so on. Next time, we’ll pick up where we left off, and go on like so.
Once Classic is done, we’ll move on to Mega Man X, then Mega Man Zero, and so on. (And with any luck, there will be a “Mega Man Legends Legacy Collection” or something by the time we get to that, but if not, we have a contingency or two in mind.)
And of course, we love interacting with the chat during these streams, so if you’ve got questions about the Mega Man Field Guides from UDON, Legends of the Halcyon Era, poutine recipes, or just want to chat and share the love of Mega Man, drop on in! We’d love to have you!
Keep an eye on our Twitter (or just the Twitter sidebar here) to find out when we’re streaming next! We usually announce it a day or so ahead of time.
And if you’d like to support our streaming habits, please be sure to consider donating to our Ko-fi or Patreon!
Thanks for reading!
