TMMN Archive: LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
May 7, 2003
Dreamwave Productions has teamed with Capcom to bring video games’ most exciting characters to life, in the all-new Capcom comics line. Launching in September, there’s something for everyone as fans can look forward to the tales and adventures of Megaman, Devil May Cry, Maximo, Darkstalkers, and Rival Schools!
Dreamwave has tapped only the best talent for the new line. Be prepared for action-packed stories with writers Brian Augustyn, Beau Smith, and Brad Mick. And on the art side you can expect only the best from Dreamwave’s bullpen. Dreamwave’s top artists like Pat Lee and Lou Kang are joined by newcomers Alan Wang, Doe, and Skottie Young; as well as Asian sensations like Korea’s Hyung-Tae Kim and Hong Kong’s Michael Fong!
The all-new Capcom line kicks of this September with Megaman #1. The legendary video game superstar gets his own series just in time for his highly touted fifteenth anniversary. Bringing you the adventures of the diminutive blue hero are writer Brian Augustyn (Crimson, Out There) and sensational Hong Kong artist Michael Fong! This action-packed series promises thrills, chills, and excitement for fans of all ages, and joins this year’s Megaman multimedia blitz with an all-new Megaman animated series, new toy lines, and a slew of new games!
The games begin in September, so hold onto your joysticks!

Fully-Rendered Sketches Of Your Favorite Capcom Characters!
Devil May Cry #1 cover, Akira and Daigo
Dante, Demitri and Maximo
Mega Man, Rush and Bot
A Ship, Morrigan and Natsu
Sourced from the Dreamwave website via The Internet Archive. Everything is as it was originally presented, though the press release and gallery were originally on separate pages, and were combined here for ease of use.
As many of the original assets were taken from The Internet Archive version of the site as well, but some were irretrievable. As such, the gaps were filled in from supplemental sources:
Devil May Cry #1 cover: Panzerdrako attik attack
Demitri: Darkstalkopedia
Mega Man: My personal files
Missing are the full-size images of Rush and the Gesellschaft (“A Ship”). I’ve tried The Internet Archive and reverse Google Image Searching, to no avail. If you have these files, or think you may have a press release that I don’t, feel free to let me know by giving me a shout out on social media, or drop me a line at the.mega.man.network (at) gmail.com, and I can update this post! I have a lot, but not everything!
Thanks for reading! And in case you haven’t heard, re-upping our hosting for the next few years took a big bite out of our bank account, so if you like what we’re doing here, would like to see us expand our breadth of content (such as with projects like this post), and can kick in a few bucks to our Patreon, buy us an E Tank on Ko-fi, or even just kick us a few bucks over on PayPal, we’d greatly appreciate it!
