Mega Man X – Sigma Stage 1 Desktop Wallpaper

Okay, so updates have been a little sporadic around here lately. I’ve been involved in a good few different things as of late, but I feel like that pile is getting smaller, so hopefully I’ll be back to updating here a little more regularly. I won’t go into too much detail — in some cases, I can’t — but I will say that I think some of you might like some of what I’m working on, and just leave it at that.

In the meantime, here’s something I made a little while back for my own perusal, and figured I’d share it with everyone on a rainy day. Well, that day is today:

It’s a simple wallpaper depicting the opening area of the first Sigma Stage from the original Mega Man X. It’s not a 1:1 recreation for a few reasons, not the least of which being that if it was, the cliff would practically run from one side to the other. Or if I moved to the cliff, then there wouldn’t be those neat towers there. So consider this a simplified artistic interpretation for the purposes of creating a clean, nostalgic desktop wallpaper.

And hey, if you like this and I hear some positive feedback, I might even make some more. (Or I might just to fill days like this, who knows? I don’t. But it might not hurt to grease the wheel, so to speak…)

Hopefully I’ll soon be back to doing articles and some other stuff I have in the works. At the very least, I’ve got a couple of episodes of “Legends of the Halcyon Era” awaiting proofreading, and something else along similar lines on the warmer as well.
