Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Revealed for PlayStation 4

Now here’s an unexpected surprise.

Gematsu has revealed that a listing for a previously (and as of this writing, still) unannounced release of a Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection has appeared on the Hong Kong PlayStation Store. In the process, they’ve also grabbed the following trailer from the store:

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings together six classic titles in one game: Mega Man Zero 1, 2, 3, and 4, as well as Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent.

In addition to the original games, this package includes an artwork gallery, music player, special filters, and much more. Casual Scenario Mode and a Save-Assist feature are available for those who would like to enjoy the story at their own pace. Players can also try their hand at the new leaderboard-based Z Chaser Mode, an exclusive new mode created just for this set of games.

Filters allow for players to view the original pixel art, or a more smoothed over version. For Mega Man ZX and Mega Man ZX Advent, the two Nintendo DS games, a variety of different layouts allow players to position the two screens to their liking. And as these are among some of the most challenging games in the franchise, a Casual Mode is included for those who just want to enjoy the story, as well as a new Save-Assist feature for mid-level saving.

In addition, a new “Z Chaser” mode has a race between two screens for leaderboard supremacy, though whether this is a multiplayer feature or something else (Ghost Racers, perhaps?) is unknown.

Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is slated for a January 21st, 2020 release on the PlayStation 4. As this isn’t an official announcement and was “leaked” on the PlayStation Store, no other platforms have been mentioned for the release, but Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam/PC releases all seem likely.

Similarly, there’s no word yet as to whether or not Inti Creates is involved with this collection of games they developed.
