Capcom Teams with Pix’n Love for Mega Man 11 Collector’s Edition

We’re just twenty days away from the release of Mega Man 11, and by now, a good number of you have probably already pre-ordered your copy. However, you may want to consider cancelling after hearing the latest announcement from Capcom UK and Pix’n Love — at least, if you’re a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One owner.

A special Collector’s Edition of Mega Man 11 has been announced, featuring a physical copy of the game, four 2-sided lithographs on card stock featuring art from the game (seemingly of each Robot Master), a cardboard box with pantone colors, and perhaps most significant of all, a “never-before released 80-pages hardcover book with rich illustrations, that retraces the history of the 11 games (yes, I know. I see it, too. —LBD) in the Mega Man franchise canon.”

From 1987 to 2018, Pix’n Love gives you a behind-the-scenes look at all of the episodes of the Mega Man canon through a well-documented and fully illustrated book. From the very first game, Mega Man, the emblematic hero of the late 1980s, established himself as one of the most popular figures of his time, even becoming the figurehead for action games/platforms at Capcom. With over 120 different versions and 35 million copies distributed worldwide over the last three decades, the franchise is one of the most famous in the video game industry. Between anecdotes, excerpts from interviews, artwork, and design documents, immerse yourself in the singular universe of the famous little blue robot!

You can find the Xbox One version here and the PlayStation 4 version here, each available now for pre-order at a price of $69.45 USD/59,90 € (down from the normal price of $75.25/64,90 €, which may take effect once the game is released).

It might be worth noting that this seems to exclusively feature the PAL versions of the game, though a quick check on Google notes that you should have minimal difficulty playing this on any version of the consoles, as they’re region-free (Sony does recommend sticking to the same region for “best performance,” however). If I’m mistaken on this, feel free to make a note in the comments below!
