Johnny Vs. Mega Man X4
Last time we heard from SomecallmeJohnny was earlier this month, when he had taken a look at the first three entries in the Mega Man X series (as well as the remakes of the first game). His marathon continues with the next logical point in the series, Mega Man X4. Be warned of Not Safe For Work language:
In addition to making me want to pick up Mega Man X4 again (after I just got done reviewing Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2, no less — you can find that here, if you haven’t seen it already — it’s part of why I’m up at 2am making all these posts now), Johnny reminds us of the interesting little historical tidbit of Sony refusing to publish the game here originally (you can find the original story here), along with Mega Man Battle & Chase.
As with Mega Man X2 and Mega Man X3, Johnny notes that next time he’ll be looking at Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6 together. And, unlike Capcom, he considers Mega Man X: Command Mission enough a part of the series to include it in his marathon, as he’ll be using it to wrap the whole thing up.
Hm, do you think maybe Capcom held off because they thought they could HD it up for a stand-alone release? Nah, probably not.
Incidentally, is it me, or does Mega Man X4 look a lot smoother in this video than normal?
