From Christmas to Capcom: LGR Tech Tales Looks Back at Hi-Tech Expressions
Over the years, we’ve seen a fair number of looks back to the rather iffy personal computer versions of Mega Man and Mega Man 3 from Hi-Tech Expressions. But were you ever curious about the company who made them?
If so, then look no further, as LGR Tech Tales has an episode which covers the rather short-lived history of the company, from its humble origins publishing management software to working with some of the biggest video game franchises in the world at the time before eventually going the way of the dodo:
While the original DOS version of Mega Man no longer seems to be supported on the Internet Archive, you can still play their version of Mega Man 3 by clicking right here.
Suffice to say, with all the discussion of overlooked titles that Capcom should be including in their collections, I don’t think there are very many vocal supporters of these two (to say nothing of the question of whether they’d even have the rights).
