Do You Want a TMMN Mega Mailbag Column?

So, there’s something I’ve been thinking about, something I wanted to put to you fine readers of The Mega Man Network.

I forget what precisely prompted the idea in my head, except for having seen mailbag-style columns around here and there (plus doing a small one myself in the pages of Nintendo Force magazine), but I’ve been bouncing the idea back and forth for a while now. It always seemed like a fun idea, but at the same time, it almost felt like it would be big-headed of me to think anyone would want to ask me questions. I mean, what do I have to offer?

But I get some on occasion on Twitter and such, and it got me to thinking: As far as Mega Man goes, I’ve had quite a journey. I’ve been with the franchise pretty much since the beginning (so long as you’re gracious enough to count “before Mega Man 2” as “the beginning”), and I’ve seen a lot of things as they happened, and I’ve even gotten to work in officially licensed capacities with the franchise. I’ve seen the hype for each new game as they’ve been announced, witnessed the rise of the online fandom over the last 20-something years, the airing of numerous cartoons…

Basically, “I’ve been around” is what I’m saying. There’s stuff I haven’t thought much about that maybe people would be interested in for one reason for another, and I figure I might as well just put it out there.

So if you’ve got a question you’d like me to answer, just drop a line to the.mega.man.network (at) gmail.com or use the good ol’ tip submission form with the subject “Mega Mailbag,” and we’ll see soon enough whether this idea has any legs, or if I was delusional to think this was ever a good idea in the first place.

Just one other thing: PLEASE do not submit something for the mailbag via comments or social media; at this stage, I feel like that would take a lot of the fun out of it and defeat the purpose, especially if it’s something everyone else who sees it gets to comment on before I do. If it seems beneficial, I’ll open that avenue up in the future, but for now, those will just be ignored (and those are harder to track than e-mail, besides).
