New UDON Mega Man Mastermix Announcement Reveals All Six Covers
Back in July, we heard the initial announcement that UDON Entertainment would be bringing the Blue Bomber back to comic shops far and wide with the release of Mega Man Mastermix, a full-color version of the Mega Man Megamix manga by fan-favorite artist Hitoshi Ariga. More recently, Previews World pulled back the curtain on listings featuring two more covers and a description for the book.
Today, UDON has finally gone whole-hog in their official announcement of what you can expect to find come January 24th, 2018, including a total of six different covers! For your convenience, here are the full half-dozen:
We’ve seen the top row before, featuring new art by Hitoshi Ariga and Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz respectively, with a third blank “sketch” cover for your favorite artists to doodle on at conventions.
The bottom row consists entirely of new reveals, including a limited edition retailer incentive cover by Rob “Robaato” Porter that homages the “Days of Future Past” storyline from Marvel’s The Uncanny X-Men, another Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz cover that is exclusive to Fried Pie Comics, and finally, UDON’s own online exclusive cover of Mega Girls by Aki Li that can be obtained through FocusAttack.com.
The cover price for the first two is $7.99 USD, while the sketch variant is $8.99. The limited edition homage cover is $19.95 on FocusAttack.com, and the Aki Li exclusive cover is $24.95. (Fried Pie Comics doesn’t have a listing yet, so the price for their cover is unknown.)
In addition, there are three new (and one old) preview pages to enjoy as well:
About the first issue:
“The Birth of Mega Man! In a world where humans and robots live and work together, six powerful robots have suddenly turned against their programming and set their sights on causing chaos and destruction! Only one heroic robot stands in their path – Mega Man, the greatest creation of Dr. Light!”
