Yacht Club Games Announces Shovel Knight Treasure Trove amiibo 3-Pack

Yacht Club Games has announced that the Shovel Knight amiibo figure on your shelf will soon have company, as a new Shovel Knight Treasure Trove 3-pack is on its way, enhancing your game and display alike. Check out the reveal trailer — though you might want to make sure no one is going to walk in on you first:

For those who can’t view it (or simply want a recap), the 3-pack includes amiibo figures of King Knight, Specter Knight, and Plague Knight. Per the rules of what typically makes a 3-pack a 3-pack instead of just three individual items, they are packaged together like so:

“Hey, who fa– never mind, I knew the answer before I could even finish the question.”

And if you wanted a closer look at each individual figure, well, here you are:

“Hm, yes; now that I have my crown, I can guarantee you positive feedback for this burger establishment!”

“I myself am a touch conflicted; I asked for Coke, but received a Pepsi, yet it contains real sugar…”

“WHERE ARE MY FRIES?!?”

Each figure will, of course, have a different effect on the Shovel Knight game… or games, depending on how you slice all the different campaigns. Specter Knight stylishly garbs your knight of choice in a new armor skin, and the remainder are a little less specific. Just know that you can unlock additional challenge stages and summon fairy companions to accompany you on your quest.

The amiibo additions will work with the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Switch versions of Shovel Knight. Additional features and release date info will be along in due time, but for now, you can see a little more on Yacht Club Games’ blog.

Incidentally, you might want to scoop these up, just in case; the original Shovel Knight amiibo unlocked a special fight in Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, and that feature even carried over to the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, after all.

On a related note, yet one I’m not so sure is related enough to warrant continued coverage here, the recently-announced Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes title for Nintendo Switch has been revealed to be a work in collaboration with several independent game studios, one of which is none other than Yacht Club Games.

Whether that will lead to a crossover with the Ace of Spades himself is unknown, but such a thing happening is far from unheard of.
