The Completionist Reviews Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
With Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite coming in hot on the horizon, there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the fan-favorite fighting franchise. Capcom knows this all too well, which is undoubtedly why they’ve doubled down with the re-release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, bringing the all-star smackdown to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in December and March, respectively.
But with the new model arriving before you know it, is it worth trying to squeeze its predecessor into your backlog in the meantime? What’s more, is it worth going for broke and trying to get everything? Jirard The Completionist gives his expert (and maybe slightly Not Safe For Work) opinion:
I have to say, that’s pretty nuts. I still need to play this entry in the series at some point, but I can safely say that I’m glad I left my own completionist tendencies behind me back around the Nintendo 64 era. Frankly, I don’t know how he does it.
How about you, though? Are you going to dive in before Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite hits the street on September 19th? And if so, are you going to simply finish it, or go for broke? Or have you done so already?
And for that matter, do you want Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite to have the same number of goals to achieve as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3? Or would you rather they tone it down or even refine it a bit?
