SSFF Looks Back at the History of Marvel vs. Capcom
As Capcom sort-of surprised the world with the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite back at PSX 2016 in December, they revealed that wasn’t all they had up their sleeve as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 went on sale for the PlayStation 4 at the same time. Four months have passed since the show, and now Xbox One and Windows owners are able to get in on the action as well!
Marking the event is a new episode of Stop Skeletons From Fighting’s “Past Mortem” series, this time looking back at all the highs and lows of the series and its releases:
It’s a pretty thorough look, with a particularly extensive focus on Marvel’s side of the equation, including its more recent ties to Disney and how that’s affected Capcom’s efforts and the availability of the games for fans.
As for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite? We’re still waiting on new info about that one — today would have been a dandy of a day to release some sort of tidbit, too, considering.
