Battle Geek Plus’s Awesome Video Game Memories of Mega Man X2
It’s been a bit since we last checked in with Ryan of Battle Geek Plus (check the tag at the bottom of the post for more), so let’s gather ’round and let him regale us with tales — awesome ones, mind — of Mega Man X‘s first sequel.
Ryan seems to feel that it was a bit underwhelming when compared to the first, and I’m pretty sure he’s not alone in those thoughts. Maybe it’s the abundance of B-team Mavericks that populated so much of it?
Also, check out those skills against Neo Sigma at 5:56 — I’m going to have to try that sometime!
Personally speaking, my most vivid memory of the game is being grounded when the local video rental store got it in, so my friend rented and played it before I got to (though he did bring it over so I could at least see some of it before taking it home). It wasn’t too long after that I got my turn, but we were both surprised when his recollection of what happened at the end didn’t match mine as he fought Zero while the crimson Hunter came to my aid. Took a little bit of note-comparison to figure out what happened there.
How about you? What memories do you have of Mega Man X2? Share in the comments below!
