Past and Future Collide with a Noir Twist in Mega Man Redux
It is a Mega Man world unlike any you’ve seen before, and yet at the same time, all too familiar. Elements of the past and future collide in a film noir type of setting as young Rock tries to piece together what’s really going on around him in a world where robots are the dominant species and all but a select handful of humans are second-class citizens.
This is “Mega Man Redux.”
deviantARTist JusteDesserts began this comic just shy of one year ago, and has produced nearly three issues totaling 70 pages and counting so far, with the third set to be concluded this month. Plus, “I am to a point to where I can consistently do [three] pages a week,” he told me, “so it will be regularly updated much much faster than it has been in the past.”
The sampling of pages above from the first issue gives you an idea of the look, feel, and tone of the comic, and if you’re interested in following along (as I’ve been doing for a while now), you can find the first issue right here, with more added to the gallery as time goes on.
And of course, you can check out more of JusteDesserts’ Mega Man fan art right here as well.
