Mega Meowing Palico Returns for Monster Hunter X

So, remember last year when Capcom released the free downloadable content for costumes and weapons in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate to turn your Palico into a Super Fighting Felyne?

Apparently it went over well, because Capcom is pulling the same costume and Rush-club weapon set out for their latest in the series, Monster Hunter X. However, there’s more than meets the eye to this Palico in disguise (wait, wrong robot reference…).

In addition to sporting a hot new blue do, this powered-up Palico can also call upon special abilities inspired by various Robot Masters from throughout the Classic series! “Nyao I’ve got your meow-er,” indeed!

Unfortunately, while Monster Hunter X was released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 28th, 2015 in Japan, there does not yet seem to be any release date planned for the title outside of Japan, though Crossmap is claiming that we should see or hear something early this year. And though it doesn’t have any Mega Man content (that I’ve seen), the same can sadly be said for Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village, save for the part about hearing any news soon.

Naturally, I’ll keep you updated if this should change — particularly since there’s now a Mega Man connection, of course.
