TruForce Collectibles Bringing ‘X-Kai’ to New York Comic Con

TruForce Collectibles has announced on their Facebook page that they will be bringing something exclusive to the New York Comic Con, which takes place from October 8th to 11th.

Named “X-Kai,” this is not the Maverick Hunter we all know and love. Rather, it’s a new character to be introduced to the Mega Man X mythology by way of a recolor of the X figure that the company has been at work on over the past year.

X-Kai is X’s evil counterpart developed by a mysterious man during the formation of the X-Hunters. He was given much higher specs than that of X and uses state-of-the-art technology.

The figure contains the same 30+ points of articulation, die-cast shin, foot, and chest armor, and LED X-Buster as the original, while sporting its own unique purple effects parts and new color scheme that seems a little reminiscent of another Blue Bomber rival from the past.

This figure is going to sell for $89.99 USD at the New York Comic Con, and while it’s being sold as an exclusive there, TruForce says Kickstarter backers will have an opportunity to purchase the figure as well, with details forthcoming.
