Revisit Mega Man Classic in Its Entirety with Hardcore Gaming 101
Here’s something I’ve been sitting on for a while, waiting for a rainy day. And while it’s not raining out, there is something of a blizzard snowing people in, so… maybe that’s better in this case?
The folks over at Hardcore Gaming 101 have put together a rather comprehensive look at the entire Mega Man Classic series. All of it– from the original on the Nintendo Entertainment System to the arcade games, the Game Gear game, the PC games, the Tiger LCD handheld games, and more… much more, perhaps even some you haven’t heard of before! And then there are cameos! And other media! And the legacy!
It’s impressive, and it’s 18 web pages covering more than 39 games and other things, such as the intro and the list of major characters. It’s perfect for waiting out the stormy weather (unless you’ve lost internet access, in which case you can’t read this anyway… sorry, no refunds), and you can find it all right here.
For those unfamiliar with Hardcore Gaming 101, this is just the merest tip of the iceberg. Their body of work covering games is quite vast (nothing like remembering an old gem you used to enjoy and looking to see if they’ve covered it), and they even have some books you can pick up as well. And if you like their work and would like to support them, be sure to visit their Patreon, with certain tiers receiving their books for free.
All in all, it’s a great site, and I encourage you to check it out!
