The Rockman 9 Arrange Soundtrack Interview, Translated
It’s been a while since Mega Man 9 was released, but it’s never too late to learn new things about a fun game. Or, in this case, newly-translated old things, but who’s counting?
It’s not entirely uncommon knowledge that with the new digital download releases of Mega Man/Rockman games some years ago, there also came new merchandise such as soundtracks. And for the Rockman 9 Arrange Soundtrack, the liner notes also contained a special interview with then-Capcom executive Keiji Inafune and his development team from Inti Creates.
Over at Shmuplations, a translation of the interview with has been posted, complete with some of the development art and early rough designs for characters, some of which you might have seen in UDON Entertainment’s Mega Man and Mega Man X Complete Works art book.
You can check out the interview here, and it’s just one of many such interviews they have from over the years for many games, ranging from Alex Kidd to The Legend of Zelda, all of which you can find here.
