Game Center CX 3 to incorporate a Mega Man-esque game

Best known outside of Japan for its TV show and single localized game on Nintendo DS, Game Center CX 3 (ゲームセンターCX 3丁目の有野) has been announced and dated for Nintendo 3DS.

The Game Center CX game series incorporates multiple smaller games that are heavily inspired by popular Famicom franchises. True to the series, CX 3 introduces a new Mega Man-esque game called Saurus Boy.

It’s a platformer starring a boy who can change colored dinosaur suits at will in order to change his active abilities. With those same abilities, he can fight and exploit boss weaknesses in battle. The premise bears more than a passing resemblance to Mega Man’s mechanics, but has enough twists to make it unique.
