Super Mario Bros. Crossover 3.0 Trailer

It’s been over a year since we last reported on “Super Mario Crossover,” and while the developers at Exploding Rabbit have gone on to start work on their own property in the crowdfunded Super Retro Squad, they haven’t forgotten the title which brought them there in the first place.

To celebrate the three-year anniversary of the game’s release, Exploding Rabbit has released the above five and a half-minute trailer for Version 3.0, which features levels taken from the Sharp X1 title Super Mario Bros. Special (with promises of The Lost Levels to come). There are also new difficulty levels and new skins for the levels, making them appear more in line with other series featured (and not all of them are shown in the trailer).

Watch the trailer, and you’ll also see Bass in Atari 2600 style along with several playable Robot Masters. Who knows who or what else will show up when Version 3.0 is released sometime in May/June 2013.
