Preview Pages for Mega Man #5; First Trade Paperback Goes on Sale Tomorrow
It’s almost here: the first issue of the Archie Mega Man comic to follow the first game of the same name. And as we’ve shown in solicitations and cover previews for a while, the next story arc is going to give a little more time in the spotlight to not only the Light Number Robot Masters you know and love, but also introduce the two “extra” Robot Masters who debuted in soon-to-be-re-released Mega Man Powered Up on the PlayStation Portable, now redesigned by artist Patrick “SPAZ” Spaziante to fit in with the normal Mega Man world.
In addition, this preview gives us the first look at the interior art for the book, as provided by Chad Thomas, whose work we have been looking at recently, and who has also drawn the “Short Circuits” comic strip in the back of each issue to date.
The preview pages are below, and you will be able to find the issue in comic shops for $2.99 as early as tomorrow, according to the most recent solicitation. Those who must wait for other retailers to get their supplies will find it the following week on September 13th.
And if you haven’t followed the story up until now, Archie has announced that the first trade paperback of the series, based on the inaugural four-issue “Let the Games Begin” story arc, will also go on sale tomorrow for $11.95 USD.
