Tomorrow marks a day of special significance…

That’s right, tomorrow marks the first anniversary of the release of Mega Man 9 on WiiWare, which was followed shortly thereafter by releases on Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network, respectively.

Now normally, we admit that we would probably not bother observing such a date; take into account every game released, and we would spend most of the year celebrating anniversaries. However, this one is different for one very simple reason…

Capcom is planning something.

According to JGonzo at the Capcom*Unity, “We’re cooking something up to celebrate but you’ll have to check back tomorrow.” In addition, he makes sure to cover his bases by noting “No, we aren’t going to reveal the MM9 secret!”

Drat.

So, we’ll keep our eyes peeled to see what Capcom has in store for the Blue Bomber tomorrow. It should be interesting…
