Robot Hall of Fame Update

It’s amazing what a little publicity can do.
After we reported on Mega Man’s nomination to be inducted into the Robot Hall of Fame, the story was picked up by Protodude’s Rockman Corner, Capcom*Unity, and more, and in the process, it would seem that the Blue Bomber has garnered quite a bit of support.

Whereas he was seen before holding only two percent of the vote, Mega Man has now skyrocketed to the #2 spot, still behind Futurama‘s Bender Bending Rodriguez, but holding 24 percent of the vote to Bender’s 35. In doing so, Mega Man has surpassed Data, Wall-E, GIR, and even the mighty leader of the heroic Autobots, Optimus Prime.

Will Mega Man overcome? Will he triumph and take over the top spot? And if he does, will he acquire a severe drinking problem? We’ll keep you informed.
