Mega Man 9: No Mavericks Allowed

No, this has nothing to do with the election. Rather, it involves a strange bit of, ah, censorship in Mega Man 9.
When one enters their name, it seems there is a filtering system in place to prevent colorful language and terms from being used. However, there’s one familiar name which it rejects as well. See for yourself.

No telling why it does this. Perhaps it’s an in-joke by the programmers? Or something stranger still?
