Otakon + Mega Man = OtaRockman!
…don’t ask me how the math works.
Heading out to Otakon first thing in the morning. On Friday (currently, as these things are often prone to change), I’ll be a part of a panel scheduled for 4pm to 5 (4:50, technically) in Workshop 1 (Room 339-340) called “Cheers to 21 Years of Megaman!” Slightly pre-emptive, since we’re still in his 20th year, but hey.
I’m not sure how it’ll work out; last year’s (run by someone else) let people from the preceding panel’s audience stay, thus keeping a lot of people who waited in line out of the room. From things I’ve heard, that might have been for the best, as the guy was apparently willing to drop heavy spoilers on the ending of the then-unreleased Mega Man ZX Advent. But none of that here! At least on my part, and I’m trusting my fellow panelists will extend that courtesy as well. Then again, there isn’t a game Japan has yet that we don’t, so we’re fortunate in that regard.
Anyway, if you’re going to be at Otakon this weekend, and you’re a fan of Mega Man, come and check it out. We’re going to have some Q&A and raffle off some prizes, and I have something big planned, and while I can’t share what it is, I’m sure it’ll make all the fans in attendance excited. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a snag in it, so it won’t go off exactly as planned, but I can promise that if you’re a serious fan, you’ll want to be a part of it.
See you there!
