Your Days are Numbered Now, Gemini Man! (and Toad Man, and Plant Man, and…)

We’ve just begun the third month of 2011, and so this may be a little late for some of you, but do you have a calendar yet?
As February began to creep by, it occurred to Jonathan Ponikvar that he was still without a good desktop/wall calendar, and nothing had caught his interest. And so, taking matters into his own hands, he set out to create his own personal way of tracking the days and months of 2011.

What follows is this month’s sampling of the results:

This is a small-scale version of the month of March, which is covered by Gemini Man. He also has the months of April, May, June, July, August, and October, represented by Toad Man, Plant Man, Guts Man, Heat Man, Wood Man, and Skull Man, respectively (plus Cut Man‘s February, if you’re interested). Each month is 3000×2250 pixels, 300 DPI .PNG files suitable for printing.

You can find these months at his website, and if you are a member of the Penny Arcade Forums, you can post there to request a specific month/Robot Master pairing, as well as a custom version with personal dates and birthdays.

“Using the original graphics and tilesets,” Ponikvar says, “each month will be themed around a different Robot Master, and will feature important dates as well as the Blue Bomber fighting the boss with the best weapon for the job.”

On his site’s post, he notes:

I will NOT be selling these as it is not my intention to make any money from this project. I only am producing them because I wanted them for my own use, and thought other folks around the internet might enjoy them as well. They are always free to download and use for your own personal wall calendar. Feel free to link people to this page or download/share them openly with each other. If you see someone attempting to sell prints of these images, report them.

So far, the project is only focused on the first six games of the series, though one can hope that perhaps this will eventually be expanded to Mega Man 9 and 10 as well, since at least one person would be interested in a Nitro Man May…
